Hair Growing Back
Hi All,
I am on my last paclitaxel chemo next week and staring to look beyond the chemo bad ass.
I am just completing 8 courses of dose dense chemo - 4 xAC, 4x Paclitaxel and am wondering how long it took for others to grow their hair back. I know this is assuming it has grown back sufficiently, as some women are unlucky with hair regrowth.
Just hoping you can share you experiences of when your hair grew back enough to actually feel like you had enough to do something with and any changes in your hair regrowth from before chemo.
Many thanks,
Jo

- Kiwi_AngelMember@Sister that’s about the only hair on my body that did hang around.
- SisterMemberI've had occasion over the last week to be out in the daylight with (gasp) bare arms. I've looked at my arms and thought how oddly pale and wrong they are compared to what they would normally be. I'm olive-skinned so I'm usually slightly tanned or sallow, even when using sunscreen religiously. It just occurred to me that the reason my arms look weird is that they're virtually hairless! I never noticed that hair falling out as it hung around so long.
- Kiwi_AngelMember@Sister my eyebrows started thinning about a month after I finished chemo then they filled in and my eyelashes fell out. Chemo - the gift that keeps on giving!!
- JJ70Member@jewel-ee and @Vangirl ...oh the lack of nose hairs and the consequences were a BIG surprise. Who'd have thought they were so important! Great to know the nose is running before it ends up on your lip!
- VangirlMember@jewel-ee precisely! That is why I look forward with much anticipation to their return!!
Used to be annoying to have to pluck the hanging ''spider legs" but now I miss them very much  - jewel-eeMembernose hair is underrated - i knew the hairs were back when my nose stopped dripping when I least expected it lol
- VangirlMemberDon't tell me that! Right, my facial hair and I are going to have words!
I'm one month post chemo this Thursday, so hopefully they are now going to stay. Fingers crossed!! - JJ70MemberThey still may fall out, before growing back. I lost all my lashes 3 weeks after end of chemo.....
- VangirlMemberI managed to keep half an eyebrow on one side and half my lashes on the other. Thank goodness for eye pencil!
I have been checking for nose hairs but my torch is broken so I cannot report for sure if there are any. - SisterMemberDepends - if I have two does that count as lashes?
