I've had occasion over the last week to be out in the daylight with (gasp) bare arms. I've looked at my arms and thought how oddly pale and wrong they are compared to what they would normally be. I'm olive-skinned so I'm usually slightly tanned or sallow, even when using sunscreen religiously. It just occurred to me that the reason my arms look weird is that they're virtually hairless! I never noticed that hair falling out as it hung around so long.
