Hair Growing Back
Hi All,
I am on my last paclitaxel chemo next week and staring to look beyond the chemo bad ass.
I am just completing 8 courses of dose dense chemo - 4 xAC, 4x Paclitaxel and am wondering how long it took for others to grow their hair back. I know this is assuming it has grown back sufficiently, as some women are unlucky with hair regrowth.
Just hoping you can share you experiences of when your hair grew back enough to actually feel like you had enough to do something with and any changes in your hair regrowth from before chemo.

- @Eastmum . My hait didn't grow back on Taxol, but a couple of friends had their hair grow back.
My lashes all dropped out over a couple of weeks. I was left with a patch of lashes in the middle of both eyes - then those all went 3 weeks post Taxol, so yes, they can fall out later. I am super happy to have my lashes back again. I think they were at their final long length about 3 or 4 weeks ago, which would be about 2.5-3 months post Taxol. - @Eastmum - mine is dark with a fair bit of grey in it but it is the first time I have really seen any regrowth either in about 25 years!! It does feel very soft and chamois like though - its quite nice.
- I hear you @"Kiwi Angel" - I haven't had short hair for just as long! Very curious to see what colour it grows back too!
- @Eastmum I have a very odd hairstyle too - a long bit and the front in the middle and then some down the sides and back and then 2 bald spots - which are now filling in very quickly each side of the front middle bit. I waiting for it all to grow and I will then go and get a short hairstyle which will be really strange as I haven't had short hair in about 35 years!!

- I never actually shaved my head and now after finishing AC, I'm left with a legit comb-over! There's a weird covering of hair all over my head - I look a bit like Golum from Lord of the Rings - with some strands that are actually quite long - I still have my sideburns and hair at the nape of my neck. Haven't lost any eyelashes or eyebrows but heard that can come later?
I've also heard that some people's hair grows back during taxol - will be interesting to see if that happens and how that will go with the golum-look! - @JJ70 I'll let you know ;) :p
