Hair Growing Back
Hi All,
I am on my last paclitaxel chemo next week and staring to look beyond the chemo bad ass.
I am just completing 8 courses of dose dense chemo - 4 xAC, 4x Paclitaxel and am wondering how long it took for others to grow their hair back. I know this is assuming it has grown back sufficiently, as some women are unlucky with hair regrowth.
Just hoping you can share you experiences of when your hair grew back enough to actually feel like you had enough to do something with and any changes in your hair regrowth from before chemo.

Dermatologists often suggest trying Rogaine to help hair grow back after chemo treatments, including Taxotere. Doctors usually recommend a maximum strength formulation of minoxidil, the active ingredient in Rogaine, which is marketed to men. But Rogaine comes with a really big drawback. You have to use it twice a day, every day, for the rest of your life. Stop using the drug and your hair will fall out.
Best to get professional advice - hair loss can be upsetting but for most women it’s temporary.

hugs Tinks xx - Has anyone tried Rogaine while on Paclitaxel? I'm on my 8th week with 4 to go and while cold capping has helped, my hair is still thinning. Just wondering if there's something that I can do to help with regrowth?

YEP!!! one bloody hair crazy eh.......
slowed growth else where I am happy about - @Sister I lost a chunk of eyebrow a few weeks ago but has since come back in. My eyelashes are slowly growing but they may fall out again. Pretty happy about the hair everywhere else growing slowly!! @SoldierCrab - 1 pesky hair!!
- My eyebrows are thinning again (bugger!!!) but the hair on my legs is growing just dandy, thanks very much :/ Pubes are thin but unfortunately not the bikini line (not that I've worn a bikini in a very long time). The hair on my arms is finally laying down flat. And as for my head, well the hair is growing slowly but has a mind of it's own - the crown seems to be the slowest.
