- Robyn_WMemberI used moo goo and like Tonya, only cotton caps and scarves. My hair and eyebrows came out on day 14 and continued for about 10 days.I didn't use a special wash though. xxxCheers Robyn
- ChixonMemberThanks for the info. I have been using Moo Goo cream on my skin during Chemo...my skin is prone to be very dry at the best of times....so will definitely use it on my scalp. I have bought some headgear...including some neutral colours to go with my clothes.. Cotton headgear seems the go. A hairdresser friend is coming on Wednesday to crop my hair ( as it will be day 12 since my 1st cycle of Chemo commenced.) not sure when I will lose my hair!! I saw a radiation oncologist last Friday..she recommended x 5 weeks radiation...so I will probably be posting for information about THAT late September! It is a long journey... Take Care.Chrisxx
- TonyaMMemberMy scalp actually hurt when my hair started falling out. Perhaps be careful not to use synthetic scarves etc or have a wig on for too long. It's easy to get an irritation so cotton headgear I found to be the best.I washed my scalp in Cetaphil wash then dried it and rubbed in either sorbolene or Moo goo- any fragrance free moisturizing cream for dry skin will probably do-trial and error.Good luck and remember to co ordinate headgear with dress gear- very easy to step out the door looking like a gypsy!
