Hi Emm
I too thought it would ever happen to me. I also thought at 47 I was too young so it just goes to show doesn't it?? I'm halfway through my treatment after having being diagnosed in August quickly followed by a mastectomy and 15 lymph nodes being removed. Stay positive as your attitude to all this really helps. There will be down days - I've had many, but the support of family, friends and this website really does help!
Sending hugs
Tink

Dear Emm, I have sorry to hear of your diagnosis. This is the best place to touch base a lot of the ladies on hear can sympathise and help along your journey.
I myself was diagnosed at the end of August. Two ops in Sept and have just recently gone through my first chemo. It is certainly tough trying to get your head around so much information. I decided to take each stage as it happened. I could not deal with the big picture all at once.
Stay positive as this the best thing that you can do for yourself and your family. We are here for you anytime.

Hey Emm, so sorry you have had to jump on this roller coaster of breast cancer. It certainly has it's ups and downs! I have recently started my journey as well, diagnosed in early august. I have also had a mastectomy and auxiliary clearance and will have my second chemo next Monday . Surround yourself by positive people and good advice from some breast care nurses. I found they gave me great perspective, which really helps. One day at a time! You will get through!

Thanks so much Sarah. It's all just overwhelming and scarey. No one should ever have to experience this.
Hope your chemo is going well x0 -
Hi Em, am sorry to hear about your diagnosis ... It is shocking times for you right now. Never have the words step at a time been so true ... Stay strong and focused on vibrant good health. I am a year down the track and look back at the whole emotional roller coaster that was, but it is do-able believe in yourself. In reflection I am grateful for the way this disease has strengthened my resolve and deepened my character for me. It's true it is an awful journey but not one without silver linings yet to be discovered... Be well Lx0

I'm in Perth too Emm. I was diagnosed the first time at 35 and then again at 42. I'm 46 now (nearly 47) and finished all of my treatment except for Tamoxifen.
It is very overwhelming when you are first diagnosed.....really hard to get your head around!
As others have said, take one day at a time
