Candle making in the creative corner

On the weekend, i tried my hand at some more  candles making! ~ I thought it was perfect to share with the creative corner group :-)

All you need is some wax (from old candles) a wick and a empty jam jar!

How do you make it?

  • Grab some of your old candles and break them into smaller pieces.
  • Use a double boiler or even a microwave to melt the wax in a bowl (be careful as the bowl gets hot!)
  • Add you sent! For me I added a chopped vanilla bean which was so beautifully fragrant!
  • In the jar, put in you candle wick and hold it up with a peg resting on the top.
  • Pour in your melted wax in
  • Wait for it to set!

I really enjoyed making them ~ they make perfect little gifts AND smell amazing :-)
