Look Good...Feel Good Workshop

Today I attended the Look Good....Feel Better Workshop. I had such a great time. The ladies that were running it were wonderful and they gave us advice on how to care for our skin and showed us how to apply makeup properly. After our makeup lesson, we all received makeup and moisturisers to take home with us. I tried on different hats, turban, scarves, etc., and wigs. They showed us how to tie scarves and how to dress up hats for different looks, it was so informative and I was so surprised what can be used to create a different look for hats (e.g. hair clips, head bands, scarves, beading strips from Spotlight, etc.)

For the Ladies that haven't done it, I recommend you register and attend a workshop (www.lgfb.org.au). It is such a fun day and a place where you can meet and socialise with other beautiful women going through similar experiences.

I felt so much better after this workshop, I will now make an effort to put makeup on everyday even if I don't go out because when you look good it does make you feel so much better!

I can honestly say that when I went to the LGFB workshop, it was one of the best experiences I had throughout the whole 'journey'. Just meeting people who were going the the same thing was great, I learnt some good tips for makeup. It'ss reallyworthwhile,

I just wished I had gone earlier. I was up to my 4th chemo before I went. They had such great ideas for headwear and fantastic wigs. I had already bought a wig but might have got a different one if I had seen the range available.

The makeup and skin care was not so much for me as I only like to use natural products. I wished they had respected my wish to not apply their products. But my 18 year old daughter could not believe the quality of the makeup we were given for free. Luckily she could use it as it would have been wasted on me.

Meeting other women going through chemo etc was very helpful and inspiring. Deanne xxx

    Hi Karen,
I had trouble getting through to the
General enquiries number so I rang the Victoria offices. They gave me a different number to call. The person I had to speak to wasn't there so I left a message for her to call me back. She called me back the very next day and she registered me over the phone. I also know you can register on line through the web site or through your Breast nurse.
I hope you get through because the workshop is worth doing. I really highly recommend it. Good Luck!
