Hi Cel - It's so great to see how many suburbs of Adelaide you and your group are getting to! How many people do you get roughly at each get together?

Hi, I am having my Mastectomy this Thursday (1/5/14) and I do not know anyone with BC so I would like to come and have a chat.  I am assuming I will feel fine to walk about but I guess I don't know yet as have not done this before but I live in ML so doesnt get much more convenient.  Is the meeting for anyone?

    Thanks heaps

Hi Daina, our group is growing day by day, and due to demand we have extended the coverage area of our get-togethers! We now visit more suburbs -north to south, east to west of Adelaide :) Our get-togethers are very successful, and we get anywhere between 26 to 6 people coming along at any one time. On average we get about 15 people coming to every get-together which is fantastic! Celeste ?

Hello Smifette, yes the get-together is for anyone who would like to come along, so please do if you feel up to it! There will be many women there who have had mastectomies or are about to undergo them, so I am sure you will find lots in common. I can book a seat for you in case you feel up to coming along if you like? Celeste ;)

No worries, I will book you a seat just in case.

Also, I meant to mention that we have a very "chatty" Chat Room on Facebook if you are interested? It is a great way to chat with women who have been diagnosed with BC. Most of the ladies are local ladies too, living in Adelaide. We have 94 members in the Chat Room! The Chat Room is a great way to connect with others in between get-togethers, and is ideal for women who cant make it along to meet in person. If you are interested in joining, here is the link:

We also have a Facebook page where we advertise our events (as well as on this site):) Here is the link to that too:

Also, I forgot to wish you well tomorrow! I hope it all goes smoothly and that your recovery is speedy! Looking forward to meeting you xxx
