Here is the link to the private page Julia is talking about
    http://www.bcna.org.au/group/61026
It was started by a lovely lady Louise Turner who had trouble finding info before her surgery. It is very informative.

Once you request membership you can read all the blogs and there are many who have had your op...myself included. The photo stories are very helpful. My story is one of them.
Here is my link which you can access after joining.

To access the different stories, when you are in the blog page you will see many tags down the right hand side of the page. Just click on the ones you think are relevant.

Whilst it is a huge operation, no doubt. I have recovered well and am now 14 weeks post op. Everyone is different and recovers at a different rate. My tip is to become as healthy as you can pre-op and get your cardiac fitness up. I did that and believe it helped me enormously.

    Good luck.

    Hi Julia,

Thank you so much for the quick response.I find it very confusing all the different sites on the net.

Living in Alice Springs even that there is a  great support group, but nobody had this surgery. It is so uncomfortable to wear the prosthesis in the heat and I feel very lopsided, hence my surgeon in Adelaide  suggest this Breastreconstruction.

So I'm looking forward to May with mixed feelings, but glad I found you and other womens that I can get advise and answers to arising questions.

    Hello
As the other ladies have suggested - once you are part of the group you can read the stories that are there...I've just put up mine. I found the closed group really useful and if you have any questions once you've read my post I'd be happy to answer any:)
    Good luck
