Many things said here about Valentine's Day - including Chris's birthday - Happy birthday!!

I thought I'd share a poem that my beautiful daughter wrote for our family this year to follow my initial diagnosis on Valentines Day 2013 - ie one year on. Get the tissues!!

"A Year's gone by. . .
A lot can happen in a year,
the sun goes down and fear appears,
dreams end, nightmares begin,
we ask ourselves - did I sin?
But nothing did we do wrong,
So now it's time for a joyful song.

As the stars begin to shine,
I ask them for this wish of mine;
Let our hardships and sorrows pass,
but our happy memories always last,
not lessons hard, but lessons true,
this is my greatest wish for you.

On this day most think of for love,
let us thank the stars above,
the nightmare's ended, dreams have begun,
Now let's sit and watch the rising sun."
