Hi everyone,
Just had a very nervous week but saw the oncologist and surgeon for 12 month checkup and all is good. I didn't think that the little buggers would return but there is always that little doubt because it happened in the first place.
My life is really now mine to plane and enjoy. I'm re enrolled into uni to finish my nursing degree that I had to put on hold for 12 months. All my uni friends finished last year and I must say that it was so difficult to sit on the side line and see them finish without me. We all started in an enabling program 4 years ago, but I am determined now to finish.
I decided to do nursing after a dear friend died from liver cancer 5 Years ago. We were the same age and she died 11 weeks after diagnosis, so I decided life is to short and I am going to do something that I really wanted to do. So now in 2014 it is going to be a lot of hard work for me but I am determined because I have been on the other side and my experience is going to make me a better nurse. It's never too late as I am almost 52, still a few good working years left yet, lol.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. I now no longer think about breast cancer everyday which I think is a good sign for me anyway. I am going to study hard as it is a big year and of course I want to do well. I just need to practice getting the balance right between work, study, home and of course me time. Thank you all and have a lovely valentines day xox.0
