Racing for a Cure
I am very thankful for my two nieces who whilst undertaking their university studies moved into my house to care for me whilst I was going through my chemotheraphy.
Lexi and Tessa's recent life experiences (losing their grandmother to breast cancer last September followed by myself being diagnosed 7 weeks after my mother's death) has developed a passion in them to raise funds to find a cure for breast cancer.
This weekend I will be travelling with my nieces to Lithgow where they will be participating in the Australian Girls Kart Titles on 26 and 27 January. This event is held to create awareness and raise much needed funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
If you would like to support them and their fundraising endeavours you can do so by following the link below.

Absolutely fantastic girls, way to go.
Excellent that you are getting behind such a fabulous cause.
I am currently supporting my niece and her beautiful friend who are doing a 60klm walk with a sleep out somewhere overnight. They have to raise $2000 each which they are finding quite difficult to do at present.
The walk is in March.
Can i just wish you both all the very best and saying go get em girls.
Lots of love today, tomorrow and always, Mich xoxoxo

Mich,
Sorry to take so long to follow up. Thought I would let you know that my nieces raised $785 for NBCF.
And also that one of my nieces, Tessa, won the National Title. I was so very proud of both of them. On winning Tessa said to me "I did it for Grandma".
I know my mum (her Grandma) would be so very proud as she watched from heaven.
Hope you are travelling well,
Helen.
