A record-breaking day!
I just wanted to thank all those who helped make the 2013 Sussan Women’s Fun Run in Melbourne yesterday such an amazing success! We had a record number of women taking part, along with a record fundraising tally.
The 28th annual Sussan Women’s Fun Run held in Cantani Gardens, St Kilda saw 6,500 women take part across either the 5km, 10km or the new Half Marathon distances.
It was such a special day for mothers, sisters, daughters, grandmothers and groups of friends celebrating their health and fitness wearing their splash of pink and getting behind BCNA.
The atmosphere was just fantastic!
An incredible $250,000 was raised through online fundraising and donations to help BCNA support all Australians affected by breast cancer. This outstanding result more than doubled last year’s total.
Thank you to everyone who took part, came down to support a loved one and especially to the many volunteers who donated their time.
A special thank you to all those who fundraised for BCNA and everyone who generously donated to help reach that magnificent $250,000 total.
We are so grateful for your support and we look forward to seeing you again next year.
