Good afternoon all,

As part of our 15 year celebration, BCNA is holding a Tribute Field of Women in Sydney on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 October and we would love our Sydney and NSW members to join us.

The Tribute Field of Women will see 15,000 Pink Lady silhouettes displayed on Bennelong Lawn – just near the Sydney Opera House – to represent the number of Australian women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.  There will be 125 blue silhouettes planted to represent men diagnosed.

The event will be an opportunity for BCNA members and supporters to gather together to show support and pay tribute to women and their families affected by breast cancer. You are encouraged to visit and leave a message of support or to pay tribute to a loved one lost.

A ceremony will be held at 11am on Saturday 12 October.

The event will also be a celebration of 15 years of BCNA providing support to Australians diagnosed with breast cancer and their families.

There is no need to RSVP.  Family, friends and supporters are most welcome to attend.

I believe our Tribute Field of Women will not only look beautiful but will provide an opportunity for reflection and inspiration.

We hope you can join us.

Maxine

P.S. Bennelong Lawn is part of the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens and can be found in the north-east corner of the Gardens just behind the Sydney Opera House.
