A beautiful Perth Get together
Hey Pink Perthites,
We had the most wonderful and pleasurable afternoon!
Our lil Perth group met, some for the first time and I am not sure about anyone else but the venue was cosy, quirky, quaint, inspiring, feminine and all those other beautiful things that make life interesting.
There were 9 of us today with one lady only joining last night/today and I was so grateful that we could welcome her and squeeze her in to our special lil group.
We had ladies/girls from all walks of life, all different areas of Perth, all different stages of their BC journey and we all came together as one. It was the most beautifulest thing.
We had a set of 3 generations, mum (due to staft chemo soon) who brought her best friend who is her very precious daughter who brought along her amazing lil fella of 7/8 months called Ace. (Mumma Vicki looked over him like a lil mother hen hee hee luv it) along with the rest of us cause he was very cute.
There was also our stunning Scottish girl who is10 days out from her first chemo carrying tonsilitis and her most loving and sincere mum who has come over from Scotland to spend time with her. As I was talking to them they sat and held each others hands (a very precious moment in my heart). We have all assured her mum that when she has to return to Scotland that her daughter will have huge support team there to take care of her if she needs us.
There was the old crew minus one today who just come together and slot in together as long lost friends even though we have only come together for a few short occasions but we connect and we all connect so well.
I am so very grateful for BCNA and the online network for connecting us and bringing us together as one and I so look forward to spending lots more time chatting, laughing, crying, eating, drinking and all the things that people with a connection do together.
I hope some of the other girls of the group hop on here when they have time and post and maybe add pics (I left that up to the other girls - I only got the pretty glass, china and roses etc.before we sat to enjoy it).
C u soon Perth girls who came together today with me. I will be in contact soon.
Lots of love today, tomorrow and always.

Thanks Mich for organising this lovely afternoon, it was great to meet some new ladies and catch up with others.
Jan at Maddisons Cottage (pictured with us) made us very welcome and offered to display some of our brochures and the food was delicious!
Will be thinking about the girls who are continuing with different stages of treatment in the coming weeks, please keep us posted on your progress and we are right here if you need us.
Much love Vicki xox

Hey Jan
What an attitude girlfriend, go for it I luv it. BUT don't fight your body. If it says rest then go with it, don't push yourself too hard. Are you having the Neulasta injection for low white cell count?
I am with you that whatever tastes yummy while you have a mouth like the bottom of a cockies cage then eat what you like. They say icy poles are great as well. There are so many posts on here that talk about what to eat and what they ate during chemo. Just put words in the search box at the top and it will take you to a zillion blogs. A great one I know of is "what helped you through your journey" where everyone has added their ideas.
I hope you stay well and strong. Don't stress too much about the housework as it will still be there when you up for it. Funny how we enjoy doing housework cause it makes us feel normal.
Thinking of you luvly and wishing you wellness. Please keep us updated on your travels. We look forward to seeing you and hopefully your precious daughter and bub again soon.

Lots of love, Mich xoxoxoxo

Hi Mich
How are you, hope you are taking care of yourself.
So for the delay in replying. I am doing really well, no injections required as yet, I have had two blood tests and no phone calls, so assume all is well. I have a great two weeks at home but suppose all good things have to come to an end and I go back to work tomorrow. Next chemo is on the 23rd so then it will be two down and two to go, yippee.
Look after yourself
