LONG TIME NO POST

Hi everyone....hope everybody is having as good a day as they can.....Alot has happened since I last posted. Chemo and radiation now over and am on Arimidex for the next few years.....Am having some issues with it - the joints are now much older than I am and i find if i sit for ANY length of time I waddle around like an old chook until I get going......I also have some lymphodema in my chest wall...Im having some physio and laser treatment at the hospital for that and am finding it does help but I really do have to do the massage myself to keep it in check....still feels terrible and "lumpy" under my arm but I think I'll just have to live with that.....the big thing that has happened is that I have moved to Townsville and that meant saying goodbye to my wonderful team of doctors, counsellor and support team of friends....Hubbie had beene working up here since before Christmas so he wasn't around for much of my treatments.....I would like to ask here is there anyone in the Townsville area going thru this journey or have been thru it that would like to catch up for a coffee and a chat....I love craft, reading, puzzles and of course famiy...especially my 6 year old granddaughter (who I miss terribly).....if so just msg me here and we'll arrange something.....Would also like to say hello to Sondra at Emy Park who I met on my trip up north....thanks for a lovely morning tea and a good chat....hope all is well with you and yours......Everybody take gentle care - until next post....my love, Sandy

    Hi Sandy

    I too am in Townsville and if you contact the cancer council they will have info on get togethers in Townsville.
    I would be more then happy to meet with you for a catch up. Currently I meet with a group of ladies that completed the Encore program with me in June. Have you done this, the Encore program if not there will be another here in October, it is very worthwhile. I am not sure how to private message on this site but I am sure we could work it out to get in touch.
