2 years on!
So so slack keeping this blog! I had to leave alot of online stuff for a while, it was information over load! Also juggling family life, recovery, employment, the house work ect ect was just getting too much.
Any way, I have just gone 2 years since being diagnosed with triple neagative BC. Im feeling better every day, it is a long hard road to get "normallity" back but Im pushing ahead and working on the new normal.
Iam 3 months post reconstruction (diep flap and reductionn on the other boob!), watching my 3 boys grow up too quickly and back in employment that I gained after treatment. It was life changing getting a job over a few other candidates and the employer knew my medical history!!!
See breast cancer doesn't always have to change things for the worse!
Will post about my reconstruction process soon!

Hi Christie,
I love your last statement 'breast cancer doesn't always have to change things for the worse' and it's just so good to hear that you are feeling well and on track to your 'new normal'

I chose to stop work during treatment. I was in a job that required physical tiring night work that I didn't think I could manage during treatment. I was also managing the effects after mastectomy. But I regained new employment last year and got the job based on my merits! My employers knew my medical history but still gave me the job based on work performance! That was a great feeling knowing you are wanted and useful in the workplace despite medical obsticles!
