Lucky duck
I do feel VERY fortunate to have so much time off work. I am blessed with three beautiful grandchildren under the age of 3. Normally I would be working full time and struggling to fit in quality time with them. As it is I can see them several times a week as well as go away for short holidays with my daughters and their gorgeous kidlets.
I can also spend quality time with my wonderful new man. We only became a couple last November so the woman he was dating (that would be me I'm referring to!) suddenly changed. I am so lucky that he continues to be so supportive. He is self employed and able to come to every appointment with me... Not that I expect him to especially now with weekly treatments - but at this stage he is still insisting on taking me! We have a special date night before treatment and he brings me flowers! Sigh... Spoilt....
We spent 5 lovely days before Taxol started travelling around the south east of South Australia (that would be us travelling around the SE not the Taxol - haha! - semantics) visiting the farm where he spent the first 10 years of his life and then onto the tiny country town where I spent the first two years of my life. Then wondered along the southern ports highway up the coast through Beachport and Robe. Very relaxing and revitalising. Puts a smile on your dial and warms the cockles of your heart.
Sunset and moon above were while we were at Port Macdonnell - southern most town in South Australia. We were standing at a look out watching the sunset then turned around to see the huge moon rising. Beautiful world!
