great moment for one-breasted women

I've been off-line for ages, but just wanted to share something wonderful. I was having a moment of feeling ugly and unlovable on the weekend, wondering if my mastectomy scar would ever start to look normal (2 years on, it still looks pretty brutal to me). My partner saw me wiping away a few tears in front of the mirror and said "You know what darlin? You're MY normal. Women with two breasts just look weird to me. I think of them as dromedaries." (yep, animals with two weird humps instead of one).

He makes me laugh, he makes me cry, and sometimes he knows exactly what to say to make me feel better. I am one lucky lucky girl.

    Hey hb

You are one very lucky girl. Your man obviously loves you for who you are not because you have two bumps.

He would have definitely won brownie points with me for that one.

So very glad you decided to pop on to the Website and share that special moment with us.

Every time you look at a women with two bumps from now on you will get a smile on your face so that is beautiful.

    Thank you

    Lots of love, Mich xoxo

Hahaha. That scored a LOL. Just what we all need! I'm in that category and can't wait to share the story with my partner. I know he'll get a laugh too.

    Thank you!

Hey hb, such a beautiful heart warming story. I too will be in the same shoes as you on Thursday when I undergo a mastectomy to the right breast (& small lumpectomy to the left). Its been an absolute whirlwind, the numbness, the emptiness since diagnosis but my gorgeous man has the same crazy sense of humour as your partner, so I know deep in my heart he will get me through. Long road ahead I know, but reading stories like yours give me strength. Deep breaths!!!!!!!
