Home sweet home
This feels a bit like the calm before the storm... I feel pretty good after 5 days in hospital following the mastectomy and axillary clearance.
I have numbness from elbow up under my left arm, armpit and part of my left chest - I now refer to my chest and my breast - left and right side. Feels like a pre puberty chest. Tight but not painful. Taking some panandol still but OK.
Can't drive this week but have my Timmy as chauffeur for much of this time and it still feels weird that I don't have to go to work. There are always positives!! Like....
- no work (was full time and more)
- more time with grand kids (2 and nearly one more)
- so much more time with Tim who is master of his own work schedule and so there for me!
- available for coffees and lunches with girlfriends who work part time
This week will be about preparing for the storm. Making appointments, checking out wigs, doing a 'Look good Feel Better' course. I am a practical person and feel good when I know what is going on and am prepared. Like to tick off things on my list!
