Hi Magalie, I've followed your blog and think it's awsome! I could relate to to your recent update especially.. Like you I come from overseas, have lived in Sydney for a quite while but have all my side of the family back in Europe. Unfortunately I see them rarely. My mom isn't doing too good either, she's going through chemo as well (not for BC, another type of cancer) and feeling not so great. I was very concerned how my mom would take me telling about my BC so I decided to tell my parents the day after the surgery... It wasn't easy for anyone but at least they know now.. Speaking of this I was wondering whether there are others in similar situation? Stranded away from your close family members, how do you and your family cope with it? Annie

It is hard to have no family around but I always remind myself that friends are the family I can choose
