Hey pink sisters

Just thought I would share my good news.

My baby girl had her own baby girl yesterday 3/1/2013. She is named Amelia (Milly) Jasmine. She is just perfect. A reasonable delivery time for my daughter who had to be induced. Milly weighed 3.4kg which I think equates to under 8lbs for us oldies hee hee.

I got to see them all for a lil while last night and hope to see her again tomorrow.

My daughter is pretty tired and has a few issues that you get with having a baby but she will bounce back soon I am hoping.

I can't believe the day finally arrived and I am so relieved they are both safe and well.

Anyway that is my sharing story and both granma and grandad can't wipe the smile off our faces. We are very proud of our baby girl and her wonderful hubby.

Some wonderful memories to come.

    Congratulations on the birth of your grandbaby is this your 1st?

    There is something very special about having grandchildren, mine are the light of my life, they bring me so much joy and watching my children interact with their children just makes my heart swell.

    Hey Donna

    Thank you for your kind words. I do have another grandee but unfortunately I don't get to see that lil precious much but I am hoping that I get to see more of this new lil one being my daughters baby.

    I am being very restrained at the moment as she is dealing with a few issues with feeding and is quite battered and bruised as she is such a lil thing herself but I am sure I will be able to see her regularly in a few days time.

    I do know what you mean about the joy they bring you and how my sons face lights up when he is playing with her. They are definitely very special lil creatures.

    Enjoy your grandees as much as I am going to enjoy mine :-)

    And so easy to love and spoil  Congratulations Mich on your "gift".  I love my two little grandies to bits.  The love they give back is priceless.  Enjoy your time with the little one. XLeonie

    and Congratulations. Nice to hear a fuzzy wuzzy heart story for a change.

    Lovely to hear that you are a grandmother again.

    Thank you for your kind wishes. I have got to have some lovely cuddles and even nappy changes plus got to do some shopping, washing and cleaning for my precious daughter.

    I had no idea how a lil one can pull on your heart strings so much. Loving it.

    Hey Lisa

    So lovely to hear from you. I am not on BCNA as often as previously but still find I like to come on hear and chat and share. BCNA pinkies have become like family for me now.

    You are so lucky to have that special time with your grandee and daughter. I am really struggling at the moment as I have had to return home which is 400klms away and all I want is to be close to my daughter because I want to be able to help her. The bubby cuddles are a huge bonus but just want to mainly be there for my daughter. If I had any idea when we bought so far away that I would be feeling like this I would never have moved from Perth. I am finding it very difficult. Hubby and I have talked about buying something in Perth but it is all money.....and takes time and I want to be there now..... He is loving being a grandad and getting to have time with this lil one as well.

    My other grandee is pretty much out of reach most of the time because my son and his wife seem to be punishing us for moving away so are making it very difficult to get to see her which breaks my heart. That is another reason why we want something in Perth as well.

    Milly is so beautiful and such a good bub most of the time but is having tummy problems at night and is in pain with it so nights are pretty crappy for the parents at the moment. My daughter is doing very well on very little sleep these days but they are looking at seeing a chiropractor, GP etc to try and work out what is going on with our lil poppit. My daughter is getting better after a pretty difficult birth but she will bounce back. She is made of tuff stuff like her mum :-)

    How old is your grandee?

    How are you going after treatment. Are you on any medications etc. I am on Femara and struggling with some pain and tiredness plus hot and cold all the time.
