The biggest Pink Ribbon Breakfast for the year was hosted by Cancer Australia this morning at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.

Hundreds of people attended the breakfast from all walks of life, and all parts of the Sydney community joined together for Australia’s Breast Cancer Day.

BCNA members know the impact of this disease on our lives.  We know the impact on our family and friends.

It's nice to know large numbers of Australians acknowledge the impact of breast cancer and raise funds to support research and those Australians affected.

During the breakfast Cancer Australia released findings from a survey of BCNA members today that showed we need to improve understanding of how to better look after ourselves and reduce the risk of recurrence. The research found that one in four women who had breast cancer were unaware of the link between exercise and keeping cancer at bay.

Please take time to look after yourself and try some regular exercise. If you need some assistance to get motivated have a look at our new 'Breast cancer and exercise booklet' which has been developed in consultation with breast cancer survivors, researchers and health professionals. The free information booklet provides women with reliable and comprehensive information about exercising after a breast cancer diagnosis.
