Hi @Skbr because my breast was an E cup and I went to a C cup ( with reduction in other breast) my expander was inserted fully filled so I didn’t have the “ filling” most have which can cause pain.
I had a lot of pain for about 6 weeks but that was more from the mastectomy I think .
The tissue expander I find very uncomfortable but have gotten more used to it over time. For example I was still sleeping on my back for about 3 months as I couldn’t sleep in that side.
it’s not so bad I have to take painkillers , just something I am always aware of to some extent.
Everyone is different is though .
Other ladies have said once they are swooped for either permanent implants or fat transfer via DIEP flap surgery ( or similar) the “ foob” feels much better.
I have to wait 6 months from radiotherapy to do the DIEP surgery .
