Good evening everyone...I really thought 2020 was going to be my year! Anyone else? First the fires...floods...then I thought I was having a heart attack which turned out to be Takotsubo cardiomyopathy..say what! Then COVID-19...millions lose their job...and thousands lose their lives 😢...isolation and now they found a lesion on my skull and I had a MRI this week...to say I’m not worried is a big fat lie...and yes Dr Google has not been my friend...I’m just waiting to be told when I’m seeing the neurologist. If it is malignant what should I expect, I know every cancer is different but I’m thinking the worse...can anyone help with some positive stories please xx

Deep breaths! 2020 is challenging for all but for you more challenging than most. I hope your lesion is benign. Has your cardiomyopathy settled?

@iserbrown thank you...yes I recently had my echo and cardiomyopathy has improved xx1

I can't help with info about the lesion but keeping my fingers crossed for you - I do hope it is benign. 2020 has been a nightmare from start to...oh yes, quarter of the way through...1

Oh fucksticks. Can't help with the lesion, but...***struggling to find something positive to say*** my water tank is full (but smoke tainted) and The Hound is living her best life since I'm home all day. She expresses her pleasure by following me around farting.
Seriously though, what a shit thing. Mxx

I do have a friend with a lesion on the front part of the brain. It is monitored annually and there's no change and is benign.
Pleased to hear your cardiomyopathy is under control.
Best wishes for your appointment with the Neurologist. That's one of the specialist I have picked up since BC.
On a lighter note supplies are improving here at home! Hope you are able to find comfort food to get you through!

@iserbrown I was completely shocked when I went grocery shopping yesterday and when I turned the corner the shelves were full of toilet paper...it’s amazing the extras we pickup thanks to BC...I added cardiologist and now neurologist so long it’s all good I don’t mind collecting...F Cancer!!3

Dear @hendrix, Let me think ..... positive, positive......well here's a little adventure - I have kept my hair short after BC, going to a lovely barber about once every six weeks for a number 6 buzz cut. But now our barber has closed; so I ventured into BigW and bought a hair cutting set with a shaver. The shaver is charging right now, and tomorrow my husband will cut my hair.

Hello @Hendrix fingers crossed for you, when do you get your MRI results?1
-
@Giovanna_BCNA I got my results last Friday from the GP who has forwarded the results to neurologist who I see on the 15th April...that is what makes me nervous. I’ve also sent the report and images to my Breast Care Nurse who is going to get someone at the hospital to look them over. The waiting game is the worst! 🙃0

Good luck for the 15th @Hendrix. Can't believe how bad your year has been and it isn't even half over. I have had some progression of mets in my hips after being in remission for more than two years. As they were discrete, small lessions I was able to have stereotactic radiation which was four high doses (2 days, weekend in between and 2 days). I finished about two weeks ago and I am still falling asleep whenever I get the opportunity. xxx2
