New BCNA disability resource
Hi
everyone. I’m Jill and I’m on the Community Programs Team. I’m working on a new
disability resource and would really like your help!
Do you live in Victoria?
Are you living with a disability?
Would you like to share your story?
Last
year, BCNA engaged with a diverse range of people living with a disability who had
been diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as carers of people with a
disability and a diagnosis of breast cancer. The experiences they shared provided us with
valuable insights into the information and support needs, during and after their
breast cancer treatment and care. In response to these learnings, BCNA will
develop a suite of resources in accessible formats including easy English fact
sheets, audio recordings and videos.
To
understand the experiences of people with a disability and breast cancer we are
seeking people and their carers to share their stories in these videos!
BCNA
wants to develop a short video of:
- People living with a disability who have also
been diagnosed with breast cancer - Carers of a person with a disability and a
diagnosis of breast cancer
We
are currently looking for people who meet one of the above criteria, and who
live in Victoria. Filming will take approximately two to three hours at a
location that is convenient to you.
If
you would like to be involved or provide feedback, please comment on this post
or contact me at jhead@bcna.org.au
or call 1800 500 258. Thanks!
