Hi @Share... Xoladex is the bone injection & Xeloda is oral Chemo.

I am day 7 of Xeloda, taken am but obviously not pm yet... Have been putting lots of moisturiser on my feet before bed & covering them with socks & keeping up lots of moisturiser on my hands....

I will not allow this to stop my running, its what keeps me sane on this journey!!!!

    What day is your appointment???

Hi @Cate64 - my appointment is 9am next Monday 6th March.

Yes, I have been given details about loads of moisturiser (Moo Goo) for hands & feet & socks to bed also (better once this humidity ceases in Sydney !)

I too am having the bone strengthening injection bi-monthly but I only know it as Xgeva (Denomosaub).

Enjoy your w/e - happy running xxx

A whole new world of drug names, specialists, aches and pains we were oblivious of previously!  Who'd thought we would need to become so conversant on ovary shutting down drugs when we are dealing with the breast?

My dad is on Zoladex, injection lasts 3 months, Denomosaub injection which lasts 6 weeks (I think) and also just finished 10 rounds of Docetaxel chemo (one of the same ones I had for breast cancer). He turns 77 in a week but is responding well to the treatment. Scans net month to see how its going. He is also on cannabis oil which is amazing for his movement and pain.

Hi @Brenda5 - thanks for your update with your Dad - always helps to get info from others and hear their stories as opposed to pharma notes & clinical data.

My sister (who lives in Central West NSW on a property) has given me hemp oil for salad dressing, hemp seeds & protein powder for smoothies & hemp oil for topical application on bony met sites.

I am looking at doing detox with power smoothie/shots then followed by 6 week course of THC (cannabis) oil shots, which my sister & her naturopath have said the same thing - will help with movement and pain (& possibly less reliant on pain meds).

Best wishes to your Dad & his upcoming scans xx
