You may have noticed the wonderful @Daina_BCNA popping backonline. Daina has returned from maternity leave and is working on some of BCNA’s
major projects for 2017. We are very happy to have her back in the office and
her little boy is such a little spunk!
Each week we have lots of different discussions take place
in the online network. These can include questions, updates, celebrations and
so much more. Here are some conversations this week you may have missed:
Potential media opportunity - We are looking for two women from Melbourne who met through the online

Health and wellness tip
In the H2knOwWe all
know water is good for us. But
here are a few reminders on just how important it can be.
- maintains
the health of every cell in the body - keeps
the bloodstream liquid enough to flow through blood vessels - helps
eliminate the wastes from the body - regulates
body temperature - moistens
mucous membranes such as those of the lungs and mouth - lubricates
and cushions joints - reduces
the risk of cystitis by keeping the bladder clear of bacteria - aids
digestion and prevents constipation - moisturises
the skin to maintain its texture and appearance - carries
nutrients and oxygen to cells - serves
as a shock absorber inside the eyes and spinal cord - Helps
with weight loss
Are you drinking enough water?
Adult women need approximately 8 glasses (2L) of water a day.
Here are some tips for
increasing water intake:
- Add a
squeeze of lemon or lime juice to plain water to add variety. - Keep a
bottle or glass of water handy on your desk or in your bag. - Add ice
cubes made from fresh fruit to a glass of water.
