May you be Mindful into Jubilant June
As the month of May comes to an end, we transition into June during which we will be taking a break from posting the tri weekly Get Active and Keep Well blogs. The month of June is a busy one for us here at BCNA and we are working on some new and very exciting projects (stay tuned). This is a great opportunity for any member of this group to write blog posts of their own to motivate and inspire other members. It could be a photo of a meal you’ve cooked, a short post about an activity you’ve tried or something to do with mindfulness or relaxation.
We would also like your feedback on the tri-weekly blog posts we have been posting, to get sense of how useful they have been. Please tell us what you think.

Nothing Time
We live in a world where inactivity is frowned upon. This has made many of us forget how to be still and do nothing at all. The mentality of do, do, do, go, go, go has been deeply ingrained in us. The idea of sitting and doing nothing can be so unfamiliar to us, it may even make us uncomfortable—guilty, even.
We don’t have to be doing all the time, though. Take some ‘nothing time’ each day. Even if it’s just five minutes, sit for that five minutes and do… nothing.
Sit silently in a favorite chair or in a sunny spot outside, without any distractions near you. Become still. Bring your full awareness into the present moment and enjoy it. You may be surprised at how satisfying and enjoyable it is and how much taking five minutes from your day to do nothing will give back to your life.
Happy Monday Everyone!
