This 2 hour professional development workshop is ideal for educators, parents, and health professionals in the community seeking a practical guide to introducing mindfulness into their classroom, family or personal life. Our expert speakers will offer insights into the benefits of mindfulness practices for children and young people in dealing with stress, negative emotions and anxiety, whilst also accessing the positive benefits such as increased resilience, empathy and emotional regulation.

You will hear from leading Child Psychologist Michael Carr-Gregg, from Channel 7’s Sunrise program, about the benefits of meditation and mindfulness for children and our community. Kay Watts will then guide you through the scientific research and the advantages of using our easily accessible app and its resources.
