I am so glad there is this little corner here. I usually paint or draw daily. That has not been happening since that first phone call 2-3 weeks ago. I am finding it hard to focus on creating anything right now even though I know it will help me. I did this small little ink painting yesterday. I love cats. This is kind of how I am feeling right now, in a brain fog, unclear, in a murky dark place.

Thanks for letting me share, Jacqui xxx

oops, oh well it won't insert the pic. :(

I wouldn't stress Jacqui. Your body just needs some down time to recover. You're on a healing journey (and there's a lot to absorb) . The art will happen again. Sometimes the blank times are more important than the 'creative' times. I'm a painter too and couldn't paint for the first 3 months of treatment. And I'm not painting as much as usual. But I am focusing on different creative outlets, like writing, cooking and nutrition. I've become a great cook ! Which is a skill I need more than painting right now. Walking has also been helping my 'chemo' fog brain and stress. xx

Thanks for responding Autore, you are right I need to not push and just relax. I have had to take time out from my art before and gone back when I was feeling better. Sounds like you are still being creative in fun productive ways. I was thinking of going for a walk today but it was cold and raining, I much prefer the sunshine ?? i hope you are doing well, hugs Jacqui

Thanks Ann-Marie, I would like some help. I selected the file I wanted to show, the name appeared in the dialog box and I clicked insert file but nothing happened. Is there a file size or type restriction? Not sure what went wrong.

    Hi Jacqui!

    good on you!

I found it hard to create when I'm in a bad frame of mind, but I do try to still draw something... No matter how 'dark' it turns out

Your mojo will come back! Keep trying

    ????

Ps-  I sometimes have trouble loading pics too... Especially if it's from my phone...

Firstly is it saved as a jpg?

This may sound funny but you may also need to clear your cookies from your computer (in your settings you need to select browsing data > cookies > clear). Sometimes doing this will help.

Did you try a couple of times? I have had to do this process sometimes. Meaning I would select another photo, see if that loaded then go back to the one I wanted to post and select that again. Crazy I know but it works.

Let me know how it goes. If no luck email me your photo apistikakis@bcna.org.au and I will add it for you.

If you are loading some of your photos from your phone that is most likely why they are displaying on the side :( . Something we are working on getting corrected.

    Thanks Anne-Marie,

Yes the sideways thing from the phone is annoying! haha!....I have noticed that some photos don't load at all...even after shrinking them...it takes a long time for them to load if at all....this happens from either device....

Hope this can help the IT dept...

Thanks Ann-marie, it was a jpg already, I have reduced the size by half. Just going to see if it works now... Yep, maybe it only likes tiny files. I'll remember that if I post anything in future.
