  • Did you know that we have a " Boob Plaster Casts" group? It hasn't been getting much love. If you would like to join this group and revive it please do so.

As we head into Australia day weekend, I'm looking forward to recognising what the day means to me and taking some time out to listen to Triple J's Hottest 100 :)

Take care and treat yourself to something special this weekend

A warm Hello to the Community. Recently diagnosed (5/1/16) with stage III locally advanced bc. It's been a real whirlwind ever since. Tests, more tests, scans, needles, first round of chemo and a portacath insertion. I am having Neo adjuvant chemo prior to mastectomy and eventual radiation. My tumour is Her2+ so I will be receiving targeted therapy also. Just thought I'd drop in and say hi. Xx

Hi Mightyoak, welcome to the site. I'm so sorry you have to go down this path. Life takes you in directions you never thought you'd go. I like your name - tall, strong & steadfast, mighty oaks stand safe even in the fiercest storm. Sounds like you have been really busy since diagnosis, have you had any time to just be still and think? Hope you cope well with the chemo, keep in touch, Tracey??

Tracey, thank you for your post. I've been flat out everyday since diagnosis and not had time to sit and think. Now things are underway I'm hoping for a little down time to reflect. First round of chemo was ok, no nausea or sickness. Just tired now. Will definitely keep in touch.  Xx
