hi

live in Burleigh Heads and work in Robina. Only diagnosed 9/12 this year. Feeling alittle lost. Going into hospital for lumpectomy on 6/1. Really scared.Know I am not on this journey alone but talking to others who understand abit better than my hubby would be good. .

    Hi Louisa,

so sorry for all that you are going through. I had a Lumpectomy and repair in June, chemo till November and just started radiation. Have to say, the lumpectomy was the easiest part of it all. Trust your surgeon, they will take good care of you. Don't be afraid to ask for pain relief if you need it -I think I was floating for a couple of days after. I chose to go home the next day and really struggled, wished I had stayed for another night. This bc is a tough path, but encouraging to have other women to share it with. I live Arundel, there are several support groups on the coast. Unfortunately they are mainly people who have completed treatment. If you want someone nearby for support & understanding, I'm not that far from you ??  Good luck for the 6th, I'll be thinking of you.

sending you a big hug, Tracey ??

Still trying to work this confusing site out lol. It would be good to catch up if that's ok with you and I can hear of your journey so far as I have only just started on mine. I am free everyday as I am off work at the moment. If I can't sort out this bloody site by the time we meet, maybe you can help me to navigate it. Call me on 0415 467669 or send me a text when your free
