Finding support online
As we end the first week of August, I just wanted to give an update on what's been happening online!
As some of our new members start their journey, others are in the middle or heading into their ‘new normal’ (whatever that may look like) and we see the online network continue to grow - with 30 new members, 27 new blog posts 288 comments.
In the past week, we've welcomed back some members such as JenPen, who has recently posted ‘Im Back!’, There have been important discussions around Male Breast Cancer and some very inspiring words from group facilitator Pink66. Some new members have also posted to find support, such as this blog post from oldduck called ‘the first 24 hours’ .
It's also been a big week for BCNA staff as we will finally all be back working from our offices after our recent flood, a big thanks to the amazing generosity of Bakers Delight for their support during this time.
We continue to work on some improvements and bug fixes but if you're having problems with any aspect of the new website, please leave a comment to let us know. Note: You can find all our previous website updates in the Online network news group.
Have a wonderful weekend all.

How do I find the support groups?
0 -
Hi Mum2Chloe, There are a couple of different places on our website, from face-to-face to online support.
Face-to-Face - If you're looking for face-to-face support or services in and around your area you can find them through the Local Services Directory - https://www.bcna.org.au/services-and-support-groups/
(From the search filter, Select 'Support group' - select a 'Category' and type postcode and distance from postcode)Online groups - I think you have connected with some of the online groups, but if you are still looking for the right one - you can find them here - https://www.bcna.org.au/online-network/groups
(we are working on getting a view of all online groups, to make it easier to find what you want). There's also a specific section on the website for women living with secondary breast cancer which lists out state based support - https://www.bcna.org.au/secondary-breast-cancer/find-secondary-breast-cancer-support/
And last but far from least, if you are in a position to contact the office on 1800 500 258, one of our staff will be able to direct you to specific support groups in and around your area.
I know it is a long answer but - there is lots of support out there.
Let me know if there is anything else you need to know.
Cheers,
Daina0
