Take some time to rest
Morning all,
I know it’s not a Friday update, but I hope Saturday morning is close enough – not sure where the week went!
For those new to the online network or returning you may have seen a number of blog posts this week about BCNA’s National Summit. This is a biennial event that BCNA runs with the aim to build skills, knowledge and connections amongst 200 of our ‘champion women’ who volunteer and support people affected by breast cancer in their communities. Over the two days they heard inspiring speakers and interesting content, as well as attended a stream of workshops to equip them to take on specific responsibilities back in their communities. You can find blog posts referencing Summit here: https://www.bcna.org.au/online-network/posts?from=&topics=&query=Summit
We hope you’re all finding the online network a safe, welcoming and supportive environment to share your experience and look for support such as ‘Genieoz’ has. Have a look at her latest blog post - https://www.bcna.org.au/online-network/members/Genieoz/blog/out-of-the-shadows.
Janine2013 is gave light-hearted encouragement in her latest blog post - https://www.bcna.org.au/online-network/members/Janine2013/blog/when-undergoing-chemotherapy-you-need-to-research
And quite a few members comment to my blog post about using coloring-in as a form of stress relief - https://www.bcna.org.au/online-network/members/Daina%20Jones/blog/colouring-has-become-a-popular-form-of-stress-release
When you feel comfortable you should - jump in and comment on a blog post of interest to your or introduce yourself, ask a question by creating your own blog post - Check out the Network posting guidelines for some tips on how you might want to participate - https://www.bcna.org.au/online-network/network-posting-guidelines/
A big thank you to all our members who remain patient while we continue to work though some of our bugs and improvement including the speed of accessing the online network.
Please feel free to alert us to any troubles you may be having, either by private message to bcnaonline@bcna.org.au or by adding a comment to the bottom of this blog post.
I will leave you with this cute picture – that is going to be my moto for the weekend ahead

Thanks Daina:) I really think that the online network is pretty much back to how it was.It is for me anyway.Yes it might be a bit slow sometimes, but at the end of the day, what difference does a couple of minutes make!! There are so many new ladies on here lately, and I feel that everyone is doing their best to support them. You and Jess,in particular, have really done an amazing job with tolerating some of our complaints, and sorting out the network at the same time! Thanks:):) Robyn xox

Hi Robyn, That really does mean a lot to hear! We all know the power and support the online network can bring - weather you have been recently diagnosed or continue to use the site to gain support /give support after 'active treatment' - and it is important that members feel that sense of community to keep coming back, to read interesting and relevant content and it is women like you who help it along the way. So thank you! ;-)

If anyone was at the summit that may be enough to get you back online.
