FOUND OUT HOW TO WORK THE SYSTEM !!!
Good morning ladies
I see more queries re finding things - i have just discovered how to receive email notification of personal messages:
Go to the top where you have logged in - the list shows Profile, Settings, My Feed, My Listings, My Publications, Messages, Subscriptions and Logout. Got that ?
Go into Settings - right at the bottom there is a box to tick.
Hope this helps as the other ways to find messages seems to be gloriously mixed up !

Unfortunately the system will not do this for me I press settings and I just continue to get the profile page. Thanks for trying. Adean

Summer, you are spot on. If you would like to check your messages, you can access your inbox in two ways.
If you are on a PC, you can select the 'messages' tab in the main navigation. And you can also go to the very top of the page and select your name and profile picture which has a drop down. Here you can select messages.
Hi Adean - If you would like to check your inbox, you can go to the section where you are selecting 'settings' and instead select 'messages'. This will take you to your inbox.
I have included an images on where you go to locate your messages on a PC and i phone just down the bottom:

Yes, that is at the top part of the page but go right down to the bottom left and you will see the tick box.

I have been doing that but at first it was only old messages that were in my inbox, now there are none and no new ones appearing AT ALL. Why can some people make this work but most of us can not. This really is extremely frustrating that you guys do not seem to even understand the sorts of problems we are experiencing. I really am reaching a point where I am about to give up on this network because it is just causing sadness and stress!!

The settings bit was about where to make the system send you an email re messages, not looking at messages.
The Messages SENT items is where it shows info of who has responded so that needs fixing !
How about writing a clear user instruction like the one above and KEEP IT AS THE TOP FEATURED POST so ladies, new and old, can work this new system ?

I am finding the same as you Deanne.It seems to work for some but not for others.Obviously,some of the ladies have a better idea on finding their way around the new site,but why the heck should it be so hard?!!!!! For me,I read what Summer says to do,and then by the time I go to my page to give it a try,I have forgotten what to do anyway!! For goodness sake,I can easily use other websites,but this is ridiculous.I actually feel very upset,because the old blog was so much a part of my life.I got so much out of it,and I hope that I gave good support to others as well.I don't want to spend all my days now,desperately trying to work this out,and getting so frustrated when I can't,but at the same time reading that some can!!!I also have reached a point where I might just go my own way.I feel very sad about the whole thing.Robynxox0

I actually feel like crying because there really has been nothing from BCNA staff to indicate that they really understand what this is doing to us. Friends like yourself who have helped to get me through things I now feel completely cut off from. I feel more alone than I have ever felt during the last two years. Just isolated and with a complete lack of empathy and understanding from BCNA.

i have never felt this alone, helpless and sad in my whole experience with BC and this network. BCNA seem to have no comprehension of what this is doing to us.

I am finding that if I look at my Messages BUT go to the SENT part my new messages are in there !
The system is changing daily as some days things work and other days it doesn't.
Good luck - and please keep trying as we don't want to lose you and they will eventually get the system fixed for us (always hopeful, anyway).

Thanks for your help and encouragement. As you say everything keeps changing and I just now went to my inbox to find that the latest messages are now appearing. This is the first time I have had this happen (they are not in the sent section, just in the normal inbox). However the link back to see the message and reply to it does not work!
i just would like some indication that someone in charge understands what we are experiencing and how this is incredibly difficult for a bunch of people just trying to help themselves and each other through a tough time. We do not need added challenges!

I would like some indication of this also,but I really feel that they don't realise that this is more than just a blog.It is a lifeline for a lot of people,at a very vulnerable time in their lives.It just needs to be simple and user friendly.There is no need for it to be otherwise,it is A BLOG!!! The rest of the BCNA website I feel ,can be new and fancy,as it caters to a lot of different types of people and groups in the community.BUT the blog is just for ladies and men,(and their family and friends,) WITH BREAST CANCER!!!!!0

When at your Inbox, go to the SENT items and you will see exactly who has commented and then click there and that side of the system seems to work ! Don't ask me why they are in the sent box .....
Sorry to say it like this, ladies, but it is bloody frustrating !!!!!
Like you, this site is a lifeline for me and I also try to help ladies who are in need of a friend but BCNA is just not making it easy for us, eh ?
Keep trying, we will get there and laugh about it in time.

Just tried your way and yes the messages I have received which are in my inbox do also appear in the 'sent' area (which I imagine is not what should happen) but still the link through does not work like it used to, taking me to view the actual message/comment on the network post.
I think I will just give up until I see a post from Daina or someone explaining things and letting us know all is actually working as it is supposed to. I just cannot keep putting time and effort into replying to people only to have it all vanish etc.

Exactly the same here! I see the messages are there,but when I click on the link to view the actual message,NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Over and out for today.I thought we were going to get an update today on what is or isn't happening.Cheers Robyn xox0

thanks for the personal message which I am not able to reply to. I understand what you are saying about the blue text but clicking on this only takes me to another message about the same message. Where it says you can view this comment at ... and it gives a link, this link does not work. In the old system it did and took you straight to the blog post. This way you even knew about comments that people occasionally put on really old posts and could respond to them. Thanks for trying to help me.
