Xmas memories
Xmas last year I had one chemo session left, so tiredness & no hair was where I was at. Having 2 children who still needed Santa to pop in on Xmas Eve, I waited until they were well asleep before quietly getting the hidden gifts from the top of the wardrobe & placing them under the Xmas tree.
In our family, if you don't believe, you don't receive so my son of 9 & daughter aged 11 were too afraid of missing out if they admitted the man in red was a fake! Well....I got sprung! In the morning I was told Santa was bald, wearing a pink nightie...... How could I possibly take presents all around the world in one night & especially while having chemo, I quizzed the children?
I'm guessing my kids will forever remember the Xmas they discovered Santa was me!
Looking forward this Xmas to being able to taste Xmas lunch & enjoy the family celebrations - and especially gratitude!

Merry Christmas to you and your family, won't it be great to actually taste all the Christmassy food? I remember seeing my Granny sneaking past my bedroom door when I should have been asleep, arms laden with presents. I was 11 at the time. I presume the kids today know a bit earlier. Your post prompted me to remember that, thank you. All the best,
Hazelxx

Lol, the tooth fairy is bald too, a tad overweight and wears a comfy holey pink nightie. My son sprung the tooth fairy in action earlier this year. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family.
