I too am taking tamoxifen for just a 5 percent estrogen cancer (i am her2 positive) and I am going through the flushes but they are getting better after just 4 months taking it. I am also on herceptin, pertuzamab and xgeva, so a lot going through my system. Yes the flushes have been full on at times but everyone is different. I haven't considered not taking it and I am on it for life. So I think give it a go and see how it goes for you.

    Hi Laura

Here are some links to websites where I get most of my recipes

    https://wholefoodsimply.com/

http://thekickingkitchen.com/. (my daily muesli recipe here)

    https://iquitsugar.com/

    http://www.goodchefbadchef.com.au/. (the good chef recipes :). )

For juices if you find it a bit hard to get started check out the juices at boost juice or somewhere similar and try a few and see what you like. They are not very concentrated but can be handy. I bought the book raw juices can save your life by Sandra Cabot and its pretty good.

For juice recipes I use a basic formula one fruit for sweetness and then add the vegetable(s), water down if needed with coconut water or filtered water.

    Examples
This is my regular juice for my kick butt cancer and energiser
    1 apple
    A thumb of ginger
    A thumb of turmeric
    1/4 beet root
    2 celery sticks
    1 kale leaf
    2 carrots

Put all through the juicer. It's pretty strong so water it down if needed.

Sometimes instead of beet root use 1 radish. Can leave out kale if you want a change or leave out turmeric.

    Refreshing
    4 oranges
    1 apple
    1 thumb of ginger

    For a change
    1/2 pineapple
Then add 1 cup of coconut water

    For a soothing gut
    3 pears
    1 apple
    Thumb of ginger

In a blender I was doing daily
    3 kale leaves
    1/2 cup frozen raspberries
    1/2 cup coconut water
    1/2 cup filtered water

Can be quite thick loads of fibre may need to water down to your liking. Not my favourite but could use spinach instead of kale or baby kale is not as strong but still in the cruciferous family.

That should get you started. Let me know how you go.
