On a Pink High Tea!
Just a few highlights from a recent “Pink” High Tea, organised by Teina Gough and held in Coffs Harbour on 14/10/2014. This successful event was a collaboration with Cancer Council and the local Salvation Army Church. As well as eating lots of tasty treats, there was a busy craft stall, a cupcake competition and a display of BCNA resources and information, plus a fun Fashion Parade and a talented young singer with guitar.
A devotional message - of “Hope Anchored to Faith”- was presented by Major Julia Metcher and it inspired our special Mini-Field of “Pink Ladies”, hanging together on a cross. People enjoyed a cuppa while sharing personal stories and survivorship milestones, reinforcing the importance of reaching out, and finding the help you really need, when facing the uncertainty and fear of a breast cancer journey.
Personally, I felt the BCNA spirit of hope and support was shared by all. What a blessing to be part of a network that keeps growing stronger and making a difference in people’s lives.
Well done to Teina and her team of helpers.
