I am hoping that I can ask about this, but please delete if not. I am 18 months post treatment for hormone positive breast cancer stage 1. I had a lumpectomy followed by radiotherapy which finished in November 2019. I am no longer under the care of the radio-oncologist and see the surgeon six monthly. I am on femera from which I suffer a range of side-effects. Over the last few months I have been having increasing neck and shoulder pain on the side of the cancer. My physio, who I have consulted, is a sports physio and has very little experience in breast cancer related things, so I was wondering if anyone has come across a physio in Perth who has specific expertise in breast cancer? I tried to contact my breast care nurse who I only had minor contact with way back when, but no answer. Any assistance would be helpful Thanks331Views0likes11CommentsFemara/Letrazole
Hi, anyone on this and have side effects? I’m almost half way through my supposed 5yrs of this and still have various side effects on and off. Nausea, weakness and have fainted a couple of times over a period of time. Have had bloods, abdomen ct and brain ct with nothing showing up. Was suggested to go off them for 5 weeks see how I felt. Did feel marginally better but unless was off them for good how would you know? Offered to change meds but I’m like could there be another lot of different side effects. Feel stuck, 2.5yrs long time to still feel pretty crappy 😔172Views0likes12CommentsVibrating boob
I had a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy in the left breast in August last year, finished rads with breath holding in November. I got the sign off from the radio oncologist last week as all being good. I am on femara. Weirdly, yesterday and today I have had a strange vibration in my left breast. It's almost like I have my mobile tucked down my bra (which I have never done). Has anyone else had similar? Should I be worries - I am thinking nerve regeneration maybe? The vibrations come in pulses, last a couple of seconds then go away and come back a few seconds later. Weird and annoying.141Views0likes5CommentsHello and liver
hi all thought id introduce myself. 43 with 3 kids I had bc 10 years ago. 2 years ago back pain and a scan showed Mets to sacrum. On xgeva and femara and in remission after radiation. Then most recent scan showed a met in my liver. Anyone else on a similar shitty path with the liver. I did a silly thing and looked at dr Google. Big mistake! Seeing my oncologist next Wednesday. XxxxxxFinishing taking Femara
Hi all, I have just recently stopped taking Femara, after 2 years. Prior to Femara I was taking Tamoxifen for 5 years. My oncolgist orininally said I would be taking for 5 years, then changed this to 10 years, and earlier this year advised me I now only needed to be taking for 7 years. Reason being 5 years + 1 year extra for each positibe node removed, making 7 years. He has assured me it is worse for me to continue taking Femara, and that their is only a 1% chance of me getting cancer back. I am worried that it could affect me again, and should I be doing anything to make sure I don't. Cheers in advance Lea W181Views0likes7Comments
