Vibrating boob

I had a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy in the left breast in August last year, finished rads with breath holding in November. I got the sign off from the radio oncologist last week as all being good.  I am on femara. Weirdly, yesterday and today I have had a strange vibration in my left breast.  It's almost like I have my mobile tucked down my bra (which I have never done). Has anyone else had similar? Should I be worries - I am thinking nerve regeneration maybe? The vibrations come in pulses, last a couple of seconds then go away and come back a few seconds later. Weird and annoying.
  • Definitely ask the  Specialists
I asked way back the answer was nerves were cut through along with muscle and bone was scraped, surgeon said if it doesn’t settle come back.
Its settled a lot over the years  just funny sensation now. The peripheral neuropathy thanks to Taxol is not as bad just have to be careful.
We each have similar and different side effects
  • @Mousie I remember those feelings well. Still get the odd fizzle feeling. Particularly under the numb skin near the surgery scars
and the permanent tingle in the fingers and toes nearly 3 years later

  • Yep, it can take weeks, if not months for some of the weird sensations to drop off - even very sharp stabbing pains, too!

    hahaha . Good one, @Blossom1961 ;)

Funnily enough - it is just under 2 years since I had my rads & I was woken up with stabbing pains in the boob again last night & again during today! grrr . I'll be keeping an eye on that too!

All the best - keep those lotions & potions up to your boob, as it will take weeks before it 'cools down' to normal temp - so the burning/peeling skin may continue (or get worse) if not moisturised . xx
  • Hi @Mousie. I think I know the sensation you're describing. I haven't had it on my boob but similar in my legs and feet. Yes most likely irritated nerves but as in all things please mention to your doctor or breast care nurse.
