Tumour markers and abraxane
My sister hasn't completed her second cycle of abraxane and her tumour markers have jumped into the low 100. Her markers have never been this high before. Has anyone else had this happen on abraxane and have your tumour markers come down.

Thank you Trace for the big cuddle i sure need one right now. Our heads are in a spin at the moment. Lucky i can come to this site and read inspirational stories from survivors and lifts my spirits. There is nothing more important than the love and support not only from family but also complete strangers who are going through the same thing as you. Even tho i just met you on this site i am sending you a big hug and kiss and thank you for sharing your story with me.

Hi Nelliejs. Thank you for your response. I gather you are triple negative. My sister is er+pr- her2 negative. It is hard for everyone that is going through this. I wish you all the very best for your treatment.

Liver mets.
My sister was put on arimidex after being on gemza for liver mets. She had good response to the gemza with only 1 liver met left. Today she got scan results and the outcome was not what she wanted to hear. That single met has almost doubled in size and now has extensive small mets through out the liver. Has anyone been through the same and what treatment plan did the oncologist put you through. I am beside myself at the moment as i can not get my head around this.

Thank you fairydust. I have also suggested she get a second opinion but like you said she is happy with her oncologist. I have heard from his patients that he is one of the best and he cares for his patients. I just hope everything goes well for my sister.

Afinitor with increase in liver mets size.
My sister was initially diagnosed in 2011 with stage 3 ER+PR+ HER2 negative breast cancer with 4 nodes involved. TAC chemo shrunk the tumour then lumpectomy and rads. Oncologist started her on Tamoxifen then changed to Arimidex because said Tamoxifen would not work as good once she reached menopause. Then bad side effects on Arimidex so switched to Exmesatene. February this year extensive bone mets with liver mets. Oncologist added Afinitor instead of doing traditional chemo. Had ct scan 2 weeks ago. Bone Mets stable but both liver mets have almost doubled in size. Has anyone had the same happen to them and what did.your oncologist change in your treatment.
