🗨️How to start a discussion

We’ve recently updated our system, so the way you start a new discussion has changed slightly. We know that any change can be a little confusing at first, but we’re here to help make it as easy as possible.

If you’d like to share a question, experience, or start a conversation, just follow the steps below. And remember, if you get stuck or have any questions, our Helpline is always here to support you.

To start a discussion, select a category from the Online Network homepage under Categories. 

In your category, select from the Forums in this Category list.

  • Early breast cancer, if your discussion is related to early breast cancer
  • DCIS, if your discussion is related to DCIS
  • Metastatic breast cancer, if your discussion is related to Metastatic breast cancer
  • General, if your discussion is related to something else.

On the right hand side of the banner, underneath the Search bar, you will see the button Start a Discussion. Click on this button to create your post.

    HiChristina_BCNA​  whats the Approved and In Review about on the posts/discussion

     I know I haven’t been overly active lately is it new or have I been so distracted lately that I missed it

      Hi cranky_granny​ and arpie​ - this was a platform update that appeared last week. "In Review" posts should still be visible to the community before the moderation team officially approves them, as we had the same concern about the weekend/public holiday issue so set it up with this in mind :)

      I've just noted that myself, about the 'in review' and 'approved'!!!   Weird!

      Are 'in review' posts 'invisible' until approved?  If 'yes' .... it's not fair on weekend/public holiday posters as they won't see replies for (possibly) days!

    To start a new discussion, you first need to decide which 'Board' you want it to live in. The Boards can be viewed in the Categories list in the header.

    You can then choose a Categories e.g.


    Once you find the Board you want to post it to, you will see Start a Discussion button

     


    You can then add a Title and enter details to start your discussion
