Needing a mastectomy but not sure about reconstruction...!
I have been diagnosed with high grade DCIS and have had two excisions but not clear margins. I am having a mastectomy and I cannot decide whether to have a double or single with implants or a DIEP single (not enough tummy fat for two!!). I have been reading a lot and speaking to lots of lovely ladies but I am more confused…

Time is of the essence
Hi I was diagnosed 15th Jan 2019 with DCIS. Appointment with the surgeon is booked for 3 weeks time, but I'm freaking out as this time frame for me seems extensive, is it? How long has others waited from diagnosis to appointment with their surgeon? Am I worrying, when there is little need? Thanks in advance :)

DCIS
I’ve recently been diagnosed with high-grade DCIS. I have previously had 3 vulval cancers and 10 plus vulval surgeries ranging from biopsies, vulvectomies (there’s not much left) and scar revisions. I’m feeling a bit p?&sed off ☹️

My mammograms are all up to date. My last one was in May 2018. It was the 6th October a Saturday evening as I stood in front of the mirror bare from the waist up and reached above my head to tie up my long hair, I noticed a very slight indentation happen under my nipple on my left breast, I thought it was unusual, so I…

Mistake in pathology report
Has anyone discovered any mistake at all in their pathology report? I discovered months later that they got my specimen orientation wrong. Prior to Mastectomy, I had a lumpectomy at my upper, outer area of my breast. But in the mastectomy report, they described the former surgery site as located in the inner, bottom area.…

Newly diagnosed and about to start AC
Hi, Well as the title indicates I'm newly diagnosed with invasive DCIS, starting AC the week after next. I'm aware of side effects but wondering how the first treatment is likely to be - do they get worse with time, is it possible I'll feel well enough to attend uni two days later or is it just impossible to know? Feeling…
