Treatment, hysterectomy, mastectomy, and now an emotional mess!
Hi everyone, I had had my last chemo on Jan 11th for triple neg BC. I have BRCA1 and in the last 6 weeks since finishing treatment I have had a full hysterectomy with uterus & ovaries removed 3 weeks after chemo and then a double mastectomy 3 weeks after the hysterectomy. Liver mets.
My sister was put on arimidex after being on gemza for liver mets. She had good response to the gemza with only 1 liver met left. Today she got scan results and the outcome was not what she wanted to hear. That single met has almost doubled in size and now has extensive small mets through out the liver. Has anyone been…

Chemo
Did anyone have AC and be fine? I had side effects the first day, really sick and neausea but then last few days have been good ( better than I thought-functional I’d probably say as a better word) apart from a shocking tension headache and slight fatigue but I’m just thinking this is only day 5 of a long road! Everyone…

Finished chemo today, yahoo!
BCNA klaxon please! So…. as everyone says here, and it’s hard to believe at times, you do get through chemo. Today I rang the bell, yay! Anyone like a wig and some chemo caps?
Just wondering if anyone would like a synthetic wig. It's a brunette, shoulder length bob with a reddish highlight. It cost $450, which was paid for me by a charity, and I only wore it twice as I didn't like it. Wigs weren't my thing. I felt weird in it. Just want to 'pay it forward' to someone that can use it. I also have…

Exercise during chemotherapy
I am halfway through my chemotherapy today. I have walked almost every day during treatment so far. I like walking and did it a fair bit before BC. When I was diagnosed I asked about what I could do, and was advised to eat well (a very nebulous statement with which I was NOT satisfied, and rectified soon after with visits…

Got through first round of chemo
I had my first round of chemo Friday 23rd Feb, I was so nervous and just didn't know what to expect but it wasn't as bad as I imagined. It took 4 attempts to find a vein for the cannula and if i'm honest that was the worse part. I am having 6 rounds of AC fortnightly and have been booked in to have a port fitted before my…

Neuropathy while on Eribulin
Hi all, I've had mets in the the bones & liver for a few years now. Over the last 3 months I've been doing chemo (Eribulin). The side effects have been ok. But over the last few weeks I've noticed some numbness of my feet. It was usually when I rest and put my feet up. But today I woke up with numbness in my right calf…

Dread of Chemo
Hello everyone, so glad to join your group with my first post. I live in Cairns and was diagnosed in Nov with ER+ PR+ HER2- and underwent lumpectomy for 4.5cm tumor and removed 7 lymph nodes. Outcome was 4 of 7 nodes were cancerous so my prayers to avoid Chemo went unanswered. I remain very grateful that I got away without…
