Chemo or no chemo
Hello all, I went to see oncologist the very first time on Tues and after his 'calculation' the 10 years overall survival rate is: * surgery + hormone therapy = 90% * surgery + hormone therapy + chemo = 91% I had mastectomy done 3 weeks ago. Just want to see what you lovely people think? Do or not do? Me and my husband…

Shaving head to bald - do I go to a barber?
Hi ladies, Just diagnosed with BC early May and have done 3 out of 4 chemo sessions. I have a tiny bit of grey hair left all over but wanted to maybe shave it all off completely by going to a barber (so having a shiny completely bald head). Anyone else done this? Would love to hear from you. Thanks Kerrie x

Guided Meditation for chemotherapy
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed a month ago, had a lumpectomy and am about to have my 3rd round of chemo. I found this guided meditation on You Tube specifically for chemo. Scuba diving after treatment
Does anyone know how long you need to wait after finishing chemo/rads before scuba diving? I've checked my with my doctors, but it's not something they know about and I can't find much about it online. I'm hoping to dive 5 weeks post radiation and three months post chemo.

Cooling Cap
Will be having my first round of AC Chemo next week and was wondering if anyone has tried this and if it is worth it? Believe it's very cold and I tend to get headaches even without having anything cold on my head.

Uncontrollable Emotions
Help I feel like I am going crazy...……... I have so far had 3 rounds of TC (docetaxel and cyclophosphamide) chemotherapy and have managed it quite well. I have had about 4 days where I have been unwell but by day 7 I am pretty much back to my normal self. It has been 2.5 weeks since my last round, but this past week I have…

(Hopefully) At the end of my journey
Hi everyone. I have been reading all your posts (thank you) and never wrote anything myself until now. I was diagnosed with a pretty small but aggressive tumour last June, and pretty quickly moved to a lumpectomy, then 4 dense doses of AC chemo, followed by a planned 12 weeks of Taxol (I only got to 8 due to peripheral…

Chemo and Exercise
Well, Chemo 3 is happening on Monday and so far so good. I am getting used to being at about 70% pace. Have just read a great book by Alison Porter: Stronger than Before and am putting some changes in place for my life over the next cycle including exercise - well walking. Now, does anyone have any advice? I know I could…
