Prickly sensation over body post treatment
Hi there
I was diagnosed with stage 1 TNBC April 2017. Completed surgery, followed by 4 cycles AC and 12 cycles Taxol and Carbo + 5 weeks radiation in February this year. However, in late February, I started getting this horrible prickly sensation all over my body whenever I got hot - sun, shower, gym. As soon as I'm out of the heat, it goes away. Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? It can be quite unbearable.
Thanks in advance

- kezmuscMemberHi @RachaelBB
I used to get really severe hot flushes. (finshed the same chemo regime as you June 2017) Now I just get the prickles, they sometimes make me lightheaded as well. I can go from cold one minute, as soon as I put a jacket or blanket on here come the prickles. I have to be careful with the temp of the shower as well. Sometimes it just comes out of the blue like sitting at my desk, if I am rushing around doing something, even bending down to pick something up can set it off. Caffeine can trigger it and so can wine. Thankfully they only last for a minute or so now. It's the chemo induced menopause and lack of hormones circulating as they should. Kind of a mild hot flush i guess. They are getting less over time.
xoxox. - smokie08MemberHi Rachel I am also TNBC and had same chemo as you. I sometimes get prickly feeling when I get a hot flush and If I get too hot . I put it down to the menopause that have been thrown into. Going to ask breast care nurse when I see her next week.
- MiraMemberHi Rachael  Have you changed your shampoo or conditioner lately? A few years ago I was getting a rash & itchy all over my body, and I worked out I was allergic to something in the shampoo or conditioner I was using. It was only when I got hot and my pores opened up that I had the allergic reaction.
