Letrozole
Hi All
I have recently changed tablets from Arimidex to Letrozole as was having terrible side effects. Hopefully side effects won't be so bad on these new tablets!! One thing that has happened since I started taking the Letrozole is bad night cramps in my legs. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you deal with it? I am not a happy camper at present! Have a great night

- arpieMemberDid you try Exemestane, @Ady ? It works with way less side effects for me, than Letrozole (same as @Zoffiel)
Stay well xxSign in to react to this post - AdyMemberI tried three different ones. Most were the same for me. We are all different. So happy to be pill free and just pray I will be okay.Sign in to react to this post
- ZoffielMemberI've found I tolerate Exemestane (Aromasin) better than the other two. It is a slightly different drug and not my oncologist's first choice for me, but even though I was at my wits end I was reluctant to give up until I had tried all the options. Better than nothing, I hope.Sign in to react to this post
- AdyMemberHi All
I decided to come off the tablets after two years. The symptoms were too bad for me. I told the Oncologist that I wanted quality of life. I have been off them since March and feel great. I am believing all will be well XXSign in to react to this post - kmakmMemberYes, I've had more cramps than normal on Letrozole, but not masses. I've been taking Magnesium but finished the bottle last night. I'm going to see what happens when I don't take them.Sign in to react to this post
- JennybutterMemberHi Ady,
I have been on Letrozole for the past 2 years and recently went for my yearly check up. I was suffering very bad bone pain in my legs too and my ostio has progressed as well so my surgeon took me off them for a few weeks to see if it would settle down, been back on it for 2 days, couldn’t believe how well I felt off it so we will see.
all the bestSign in to react to this post - lrb_03MemberI've always taken mine in the morning, but they do say to try different times of day to see what works for you. I haven't had too many side effects that I'm sure are from the letrozole, so I have felt incredibly lucky, that way . Take care, LynSign in to react to this post
- AdyMemberHi Irb_03
I have been taking all of those since March. Just a pain really. Otherwise feel not too bad on these new tablets. I will keep believing all will be well.Sign in to react to this post - AdyMemberI am already on magnesium tablets plus I spray magnesium all over my body through the day. Not helping me much! Good to hear you have had no noticeable side effects. Good stuff. I don't have any other side effects at present but have only been on them for 8 days. I wondered if I take the tablets at night would it help. I used to do that with the Arimidex.Sign in to react to this post
- lrb_03MemberI've been taking a combination of magnesium, calcium & vitamin D. No problems with cramps. I've been on letrozole since February this year.Sign in to react to this post
