Arm feeling weird

I have this strange thing in my arm. In the inside of my elbow, I can see a vein, and then a line runs up from there, it's like an indentation in the skin, a groove. My arm sort of feels like a dead arm. Sometime around the vein gets puffy. I've had 3 lymph nodes taken out back in July last year along with a bilateral mastectomy. I have had a bIg week with work and was probably the most strenuous I've been since my op. Do you think it's anything to worry about? Jo

  • So, I made a visit to my GP, who told me that numbing had nothing to do with my vein and that I should get checked for carpal tunnel! And also that my "cancer" wasn't serious so it couldn't be related!!! I was so angry! I've had my boobs taken away and he thinks its not serious!! Any way I calmed down and sent my photo to the Breast care clinic that I go to on the Gold Coast, and the girls passed it in to the doctor, who kindly rang me. She explained it as "thrombosis phlebitis" which is not common but happens in cancer patients and even healthy people. It usually settles and clears in 4-6 weeks and to use hiridoid cream on it. So now I feel more comfortable, just have to watch it doesn't swell or go red. Thanks for the replies ladies x
